MU Family Medicine Ranked the Number Three Department in Country, According to Latest U.S. News and World Report
The University of Missouri-Columbia's (MU) continuing commitment to enhancing family and community health has once again earned recognition from U.S. News and World Report.
In its latest issue, the magazine ranks MU Department of Family and Community Medicine #3 in the country in its Best Graduate Schools 2008 report. This is the 15th consecutive year that the department has been selected as one of the top three programs ranked by the magazine.
"We're honored to be consistently recognized as a leader in family medicine education, patient care, and scholarship and research," says Dr. Hal Williamson, department chair. "Having dedicated faculty and staff who work hard and an institution that supports what we do helps us succeed and keeps us focused on our mission of expanding and improving primary care services - especially in underserved areas."
