Future of Family Medicine Endowment

Transforming and Renewing the Discipline of Family Medicine at MU and Beyond

The Future of Family Medicine Endowment has been created to transform and renew the discipline of family medicine to meet the needs of patients in a changing health care environment. Funding from this endowment will be used to promote clinical, education, and research projects consistent with those identified in the national report The Future of Family Medicine: A Collaborative Project of the Family Medicine Community.

The FFM fundraising campaign was launched in spring 2006. Our family of donors includes nearly 110 faculty, alumni, and friends who have pledged more than $180,000 to date. We want to establish a professorship with this endowment and you can help us achieve this goal by sending a donation. Today’s gifts will build a better tomorrow for patients, providers, and health care across the nation.

The Family Medicine Match

This spring, we initiated a program guaranteed to double the size and impact of all future donations. For three years, MU Family and Community Medicine will match every dollar donated — up to $500,000 — to the FFM fund. This is a serious financial commitment for our department, but it's one we need and want to make.
